Terry McLean is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of SageSure Insurance Managers, where he oversees operations and guides the strategic vision of the organization. Mr. McLean brings extensive knowledge and experience in insurance and finance to his role. Prior to founding SageSure, Mr. McLean worked for RenaissanceRe’s Corporate Risk Management Group. He previously held roles as Chief Operating Officer of a Florida homeowners insurance company and Financial Institutions investment banking professional with DLJ and UBS. Mr. McLean graduated from the Management & Technology Program at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a BAS in Engineering and a BSE from The Wharton School with concentrations in Computer Science, Finance and Actuarial Science.
Andy DiLoreto is co-founder and Executive Chairman of SageSure Insurance Managers. Over a career in insurance spanning more than two decades, Mr. DiLoreto has served in various operational and senior managerial roles for such prominent companies as the Benfield Group Ltd., and General Reinsurance Corporation, where he was both a member of the Executive Committee and President and CEO of their wholly-owned subsidiaries, Herbert Clough Inc. and Ardent Risk Services. Mr. DiLoreto holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Villanova University.
As Chief Underwriting Officer, Brooks Clark is responsible for driving products, pricing and underwriting requirements for SageSure programs. Mr. Clark oversees the company’s actuarial, product development, and underwriting operations. Before joining the company in 2008, Mr. Clark served as Senior Vice President at Travelers Property Casualty where he was responsible for product management for the personal lines business nationally. Mr. Clark began his career at Aetna and spent his early years in various actuarial and underwriting capacities. More recently, he was a consultant to the P&C industry, focused on building sophisticated underwriting and pricing programs for clients that included the use of predictive modeling. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Tammy Nelson is responsible for marketing and sales at SageSure Insurance Managers. Before joining SageSure in 2016, she was Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Customer Experience Officer at American Modern Insurance Group, part of Munich Re. While at American Modern, she was responsible for marketing, communications, customer experience and innovation/digital. Prior to that, Ms. Nelson spent the majority of her career leading marketing and sales for Ameriprise Auto & Home Insurance. She has a Master of Business Administration degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, and a bachelor’s degree in advertising and economics from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire. She has also earned her Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCXP) designation.
As Chief Accounting Officer, Craig Bissell directs accounting, financial reporting and treasury functions for Insight Catastrophe Group. Craig has extensive experience in insurance, having worked as a CFO, a reinsurance broker and an independent consultant. He also has experience as an auditor for a public accounting firm. Craig, who is also a certified public accountant (CPA), has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ohio University and a graduate degree in accounting from University of North Florida.
As Chief Financial Officer, Jim Pogorzelski brings an extensive portfolio of running corporations and building innovation. Jim is responsible for the day-to-day planning, implementing, and managing all financial-related activities including financial statements and tax filings, forecasting, risk management, corporate insurance, real estate, legal, human resources, and more. He joined Insight Catastrophe Group in 2015 and brings more than 20 years of experience leading similar corporate areas as well as M&A, ERM, and investment management activities. He has a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Buffalo and is a CFA. Jim has been the Executive Vice President for successful global companies leading various analytic consulting groups and financial practice areas in companies such as Aon Benfield, Willis Towers Watson and Tillinghast.
As Chief Business Development Officer, Colin Smith is responsible for identifying and executing strategies for the company’s continued growth. Colin’s passion for enhancing culture is key to his role in helping to lead strategic and operational planning. He has a background in investment banking and raising capital for rapidly-growing private companies. Most recently, Colin served as CEO of the NYC nonprofit Change for Kids, increasing revenue by more than 2,500 percent to support nearly 5,000 elementary school students annually. He has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Virginia.
As Chief Technology Officer, Scott Wilsey is responsible for IT operations and growing technical teams for the company. His strong aptitude for system architecture and development along with corporate strategy, makes him an asset in this industry. With a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Information Systems from Washington State University and more than 15 years in public utilities and private technology companies, he excels at some of the following: problem solving through innovative solutions, team building, cloud computing infrastructure and application development. Since 2014, Scott has been an integral part of the company’s infrastructure and technical success.
Gary Cason is SageSure’s Regional Vice President of Sales for our Atlantic Coast region. He has worked in the insurance industry for more than 17 years, holding positions in agency and regional sales senior leadership at both Farmers and Allstate. Gary joined SageSure in 2018. He oversees the Sales team, supporting the growth of our distribution while ensuring our producers’ voices are heard throughout our organization. Gary has a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and Development from Bluefield College.
As Assistant Vice President of Finance/Controller, Lisa Chason is responsible for managing a team of accounting and financial professionals, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, treasury management, audit and tax relationship management, strategic planning and member communications. With a Bachelor of Business Administration from Flagler College in Tallahassee, FL, Lisa has an extensive background in finance. Lisa and her team have supported the growth and success of Insight Catastrophe Group since 2008.
As Vice President of Underwriting, Art Greitzer is responsible for the production of multi-state personal lines programs. In this role, he recruits, trains and manages underwriters with emphases on deep underwriting and customer service experience. Prior to joining SageSure, Mr. Greitzer was Director of Operations, Underwriting and Service for Travelers in New Jersey. Prior to the merger of Travelers and Aetna, Mr. Greitzer held various managerial positions with Aetna in both Personal and Commercial Lines at the Field and Home Office level. He has over 30 years of diversified insurance experience and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University.
As Vice President of Product Implementation, Andy Levens oversees the implementation and maintenance of all personal lines homeowners insurance products on Insight Catastrophe Group’s platform, representing a suite of 35 distinct product offerings among 11 carriers and growing. He brings a wealth of insurance experience as an actuarial analyst from insurance companies such as National Life in Vermont and Home Insurance Company in New York. Andy has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Richmond.
As Vice President of Human Resources, Zulma Lyman has years of experience overseeing various disciplines within HR. She is responsible for executing goals that align with the company’s business objectives in reducing cost, retaining and developing talent. Before joining the company in 2017, Zulma has worked as the Vice President for Brookfield Office Properties (a commercial real estate company) for their commercial and multifamily platforms for the U.S. She has led, built and enhanced HR departments across the financial and real estate industries. With a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and a minor in Business Administration from St. John’s University in Jamaica, Queens, N.Y., this motivated, diplomatic leader now focuses her expertise on insurance.
As Vice President of Software Product & Quality, Tim Meaney leads the Software Product team and drives the platform for Insight Catastrophe Group. He has designed and built software for more than 22 years. Tim has started three companies: Arc90, Readability, and Kindling; Insight Catastrophe Group was a client of Arc90, the software design and development company founded in 2004. Tim left Arc90 in 2009 to pursue other opportunities, eventually joining the company in 2016 as VP of Software Product & Quality. With an undergraduate degree in business management from Tulane University, an MBA in strategic management from DePaul’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and proven experience in software and insurance technologies, Tim excels in leading large-scale software development teams and growing technology businesses.
As Vice President of Marketing, Hallie Montague is responsible for overseeing and leading the integrated marketing strategy across all mediums and distribution channels. She is a passionate and experienced professional who brings more than 20 years of brand marketing, business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing experience to the table from successful global corporations like Luxottica and American Modern Insurance Group. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Miami University, and is known for her ability to manage large cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies that drive sales and maintain costs. Joining the team in 2016, SageSure is pleased to have this high energy, proven marketing leader from Ohio who stops at nothing to deliver the best customer experience for our partners and policyholders.
Suzanne Morrow is SageSure’s Regional Vice President of Sales for our Pacific Coast territory. She is an innovative insurance executive and marketing professional with more than 30 years of experience in operations, agency relations, producer engagement, product design/launch and senior leadership. Suzanne is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic sales and marketing plans for profitable product growth for SageSure. She joined the team in 2017 to oversee the Sales team and manage agency relations. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Nova Southeastern University and professional designations as Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and an Associate degree in Risk Management (ARM).
As Vice President and Chief Pricing Actuary, Cong To is responsible for pricing, product management, risk management, and data analytics. He joined the company in the Cheshire, Conn. location in 2016. With 14 years of experience as an actuary and consultant, some of his many accomplishments include a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Connecticut and being a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society. He brings extensive knowledge from his previous work at leading insurance companies like AIG, as the global property portfolio actuary in consumer lines and Ernst & Young, as an actuarial consultant. His ability to analyze data and assess risk along with his expertise in probability, economics, and business, makes him a value add to the company.
As Vice President of Underwriting, Steve Wietlisbach is responsible for developing and working to help maintain a good balance of profitability and risk management/leverage. Because of his love of insurance, Steve came out of retirement and started working at SageSure at the same time. He brings a wealth of underwriting knowledge to the company. With past titles as a personal lines underwriter, underwriter manager and product manager for Aetna P & C and Travelers P & C, Steve excels in underwriting management and protecting our products.
As Vice President of Policy Services, Tom Wixted is responsible for leading our service center operations including all customer service, policy processing, billing and Agent Portal system support business activities. An industry veteran, Mr. Wixted has more than 20 years of insurance experience. Prior to SageSure, he worked at Nationwide for 16 years in various areas including customer service, underwriting, direct sales and training. For the final two years of his tenure at Nationwide, Mr. Wixted was accountable for one of four inbound call centers that provide customer service to Nationwide’s policyholders and agents. He served as a leader to 14 supervisors and 240 representatives that handled approximately 1.4 million inbound calls annually at the center’s peak staffing. He has his MBA from Lynchburg College and a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University.
