Lisa Bernstein receives empowerment award

We are thrilled to announce that Lisa Bernstein, Chief Administrative Officer for SageSure, was this year’s Empowerment Award recipient at the Bottomless Closet Spring Luncheon on May 17.

Since 1999, Bottomless Closet has empowered disadvantaged New York City women to enter the workforce, and achieve success and self-sufficiency by providing resume preparation, professional outfitting, interview coaching and workshop curriculum.

Lisa understands the challenges working women face each day and that is why both SageSure and Lisa are committed to supporting organizations like Bottomless Closet. She has been an advocate for and built a number of programs in her career supporting women and all those who are underrepresented in the workforce.

“It’s humbling and an honor to receive this award,” Lisa said. “I’m grateful to SageSure for the support and commitment to empower women in the workplace and know there is continued work to be done.”

SageSure has a supportive and strategic view on diversity, equity and inclusion, which is led by a DEI Council that Lisa chairs and is at the forefront of our employee experience. SageSure’s commitment to diversity includes:

  • a strong presence of women leaders at the executive and senior level in functions including software, data science, arketing, claims, and product and underwriting;
  • providing women with important growth and development opportunities at all levels of the business;
  • and employing 50% of the company’s workforce with those who identify as women — which certainly stands out in the insurance industry.

Lisa was joined by fellow Honorees: JPMorgan Chase & Co., Cecilia Hurt-Nelson and Rory Conforte.
