In January 2006, Andy DiLoreto and Terry McLean founded Coastal Risk Underwriters in a small office in Tallahassee, Florida. The initial focus was to serve coastal markets in a select few states, but the scope of operations changed quickly as demand grew.
The New York program launched in 2009, and South Carolina and Alabama followed in 2010. In 2011, the Louisiana program was launched and in 2012, we began serving Virginia and Alaska. In 2013, Coastal Risk Underwriters became SageSure Insurance Managers; that year we also launched products in New Jersey and California.
Today, SageSure proudly provides high-quality, cost-competitive property insurance products in both inland and coastal markets in multiple states.
