Paperless initiative continues to plant trees
We couldn’t do it without you
Thank you for encouraging your policyholders to go paperless. Despite wind and rain, SageSure producer partners and associates joined forces with The Alliance for Cape Fear in Wilmington, North Carolina, on March 12 and distributed 1,500 trees to help families continue to rebuild after the devastation from Hurricane Florence. Thanks also to Alliance For Cape Fear Trees and Don Bullard Insurance; Coastline Insurance Associates of NC, Inc; B and R Insurance & Financial; George Chadwick Insurance; April Jones Insurance; and Able Insurance Agency for being great volunteers.
It’s all part of a partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation Community Tree Recovery Program to encourage SageSure policyholders to enroll in our paperless billing option. For each policyholder who takes the time to shift their billing from traditional paper to e-billing, SageSure has donated a dollar to support the Arbor Day Community Tree Recovery Program’s efforts to plant and replace trees in disaster-stricken communities.
Since September 2020, more than 102,900 SageSure policyholders have gone paperless. In March of 2021, we teamed up with the Arbor Day Foundation. The result over 40 years: more than 2,400 trees distributed in two communities preventing 3.5 million gallons of stormwater runoff, 3 million metric tons of net carbon dioxide sequestered and 8.5 metric tons of air pollutants removed. Small steps over time can have a big impact.
SageSure policyholders can still have an impact. Enrolling in the paperless option will support continued tree replacement efforts. Encourage your policyholders to make the switch — check to see if a policyholder is enrolled for paperless document delivery in the Policy Overview section in the Agent Portal. If not, simply click the invite link to automatically send them an email to enroll.
As a result of this work, we recently received an honorable mention from PR News for the 2022 Social Impact Awards in the Cause Branding Campaign category. The Social Impact Awards honor communicators who use their platforms to better their community and the global community at large. Thank you to everyone who has helped to make our paperless initiative a success.
